Discovery Centre
Council voted on Monday the 24th May and gave the OK for the Discovery Centre to proceed. Providing no damage to the environment takes place, for example causing a major spread of acid sulphate soils during construction AGRA believe that this is a good outcome for birds and the community. As stated before AGRA understands that construction must not interfere with migratory birds arriving next season. We believe this development will reinforce the international RAMSAR recognition of our local wetlands and will support schoolchildren and students through educational visits to the wetlands. This is not a tourist centre and visits and car parking will be tightly controlled.
